Theodora Jean, Founder
Theodora has over 10 years of public relations and communications experience in private industry, government, and non-profit sectors. Through her public relations consultancy, Coldwater Communications, Theodora provides earned media strategies, publicity services, and thought-leadership for those working in the arts and entertainment sectors.
Her clients—comprised of directors, producers, actors, musicians, and film and TV associations—have been featured in The Hollywood Reporter, The Globe and Mail, National Post, Playback, and more.
Theodora is currently the President of the Vancouver Chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society and a member of Women in Film and Television Vancouver. She was also recently a protege of the Women’s Executive Network’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women Mentoring Program and holds a Master’s in Communication from the University of Ottawa.
Danielle Alfaro, Brand + Storytelling Specialist
A born and raised Calgarian, Danielle has had the opportunity to gain communications experience in a variety of industries including boutique agency, corporate and non-profit. Skill sets include writing, strategic social media planning, media relations and event management. She is currently an independent PR consultant working in the arts/entertainment/media scene across western Canada.
Danielle earned her Bachelor of Communication, Public Relations degree from Mount Royal University. She has also served on the board of directors for the Canadian Public Relations Society in a variety of capacities including, Students and Education Chair, Volunteer Chair and most recently Membership Chair for the Calgary society.
Danielle is also passionate about staying connected to the post-secondary realm and helping communications students reach their highest potential. She manages mentorship programs and participates in panel discussions, guest lectures and workshops across a variety of post-secondary institutions in Calgary.
Thi Tran, PR Consultant + Creative Content Strategist
Thi earned her Bachelor of Arts English degree from the University of British Columbia, graduated from Simon Fraser University’s The Writer’s Studio, and in 2018, attended a residency for emerging writers at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.
After a decade-long career working in sales and marketing at one of Canada’s largest mortgage firms, she returned to her passion for words and ideas. Today, with extensive sales and marketing experience and a formal background in creative writing, she’s a copywriter, editor, and public relations consultant. Thi specializes in crafting clear messaging and content strategy that aligns with her client’s brand, connects people, and creates sales. She has worked on a number of campaigns for a wide spectrum of clients. Her work spans various industries including e-commerce, arts and culture, finance and real estate, and alcohol and spirits.
Tarrah Simion, Senior Consultant
As a healthcare professional with ten years of clinical experience, Tarrah utilizes her clinical expertise, combined with her twenty years of scientific writing experience to produce engaging educational and promotional materials in the Greater Toronto Area. She works with organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Public Relations Society to assist with complex projects on both local and national scales.
Lindsay Beaudoin-Rach, Senior Web Specialist
Lindsay brings over nine years of web communications experience. Lindsay graduated from Carleton University in 2011 and quickly transitioned her interests in writing and communications into the tech world, where she has specialized in creating and optimising web content. Lindsay currently works for the federal government, where she previously led the migration of web content into new Content Management Systems, optimized websites, and turned complex government policy and program language into content that is simple and easy to understand. Since 2018, Lindsay has delved into the world of web analytics, with a focus in measuring the performance of websites by analyzing data. She also applies website accessibility and usability principles and best practices to ensure that websites are inclusive and effective in targeting their audience.
Cassandra Estefanos, Public Relations Assistant
Cassandra Estefanos is a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa, holding an Honours BA in Communications and Minor in Law. With three years of communications experience in the federal public service, she has had the opportunity to work on various marketing and strategic communications teams. This has allowed her to develop a multitude of skills such as editing and writing, social media, strategic planning, research and web advising.
